✨ Event Overview:
On the occasion of the International and National Disability Day, the Bhola District Administration organized a series of day-long programs including a discussion meeting and distribution of wheelchairs and assistive devices. Wheelchairs, crutches, and mobility aids were handed over to persons with disabilities in front of the District Commissioner’s Office.
🎤 Chief Guest:
Bhola District Commissioner Dr. Shamim Rahman attended as the Chief Guest and emphasized the significance of the day, the rights of persons with disabilities, and the importance of inclusive development.
🪑 Chair:
The discussion meeting was presided over by Mr. Rajat Shubhra Sarkar, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services, Bhola. In his speech, he highlighted various government initiatives aimed at improving the overall well-being of persons with disabilities and stressed that collective efforts from administration and society are essential to ensure their rights.
👥 Participants:
Officials from various government departments, public representatives, political leaders, civil society members, and representatives from different organizations attended the event. Organizations included Bhola Children’s Special School for the Disabled, Shadin Jubo Unnayan Sangstha, and other local social and voluntary organizations.
