📌 Background of the Program:
A training workshop titled “Stop the Stigma 2.0: Empowering the Dreams of Menstruating Adolescent Girls in Bangladesh” was organized by Sajeda Foundation and Plan International.
Representatives from various NGOs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of Bhola district participated in the workshop. A networking and collaboration meeting was also arranged among all participants, where they exchanged experiences and discussed future joint initiatives and partnerships.

Representatives from different social organizations, youth groups, and community workers attended the training. Participants shared valuable opinions and experiences regarding ensuring adolescent girls’ health, rights, and social protection.

The training mainly focused on:
✔️ Awareness of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM)
✔️ The importance of maintaining adolescent girls’ health and hygiene
✔️ Social responsibility in preventing child marriage
✔️ Understanding the Child Marriage Restraint Act (CMRA 2017)
✔️ Ways to eliminate social stigma, myths, and embarrassment surrounding menstruation
Speakers emphasized that menstruation is a natural biological process and should not be treated with shame or secrecy. Instead, awareness and proper knowledge must be spread throughout society.

Such training programs help increase awareness about adolescent girls’ health and rights within society. At the same time, combined efforts from families, teachers, religious leaders, and conscious citizens can further strengthen child marriage prevention and women’s empowerment initiatives.

The organizers expressed hope that participants would create awareness in their respective communities and play an important role in ensuring adolescent girls’ health, education, and a safe future.
